Burkina Faso: AfDB is providing more than 2 billion CFA francs to the cashew sector

This funding from the African Development Bank (ADB) will be granted in Burkina Faso is part of the project to support the development of cashew in the basin of the Caloé, on behalf of the REDD + program (PADA / REDD).
The signing of the grant agreement protocol and a loan agreement of over 2.28 billion FCFA should occur this Friday, March 24 between the Burkina Faso Minister of Finance Hadizatou Rosine Coulibaly and Antoinette Batumubwira, the resident representative of the Bank African Development (AfDB) in Burkina Faso.
According to the Burkinabe Ministry of Finance, the project objective PADA / REDD + with a target date of execution runs until 2022, is two-fold: to contribute to poverty reduction in rural areas, to reduce deforestation and the reduction of emissions of greenhouse gases, cashew being a carbon sequestration capacity plant.
