Rotterdam broker Amberwood Trading recently visited cashew suppliers and farmers in Vietnam and was informed that this year's crop is even worse than that of last year.
“Last year's crop was bad because of El Niño: too dry for too long. This year's crop, however, has suffered from too much rain, or perhaps we should say too much rain for too long,” the company explained.
