The industrial development of cocoa and cashews will be at the heart of a meeting of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) of 18 to 21 April 2017.
Indeed, according to information relayed by APA, this is the meeting of the committee of experts of ministers for industry for the examination of texts on quality infrastructure to submit the next 21 to the approval of the ministers who still gather in the Ivorian capital which will meet the day before the ministers in charge of agriculture.
The importance of this meeting of experts is due to the fact that the statistics of the ECOWAS Commission, the food industry has been identified as one of four sectoral priorities for the development of the regional industry.
To this end, certain key products such as cocoa, cashew, oil palm, mango, etc. must be given special attention in order to accelerate the industrial development of cashew and cocoa in west Africa.
