Abidjan - The Board of cotton and cashew offered Thursday quality analysis equipment to the 60 best cooperatives cashew producers from twelve regional delegations.
This quality analysis equipment includes a moisture meter, a hornbill beak, a knife, a cutter and gangs.
According to Director General of the Council of cotton and cashew, Dr. Adama Coulibaly, this gift is intended to provide early as this 2017 campaign, cooperative cashew producers of quality test kits, for the purpose of allowing them to control from their internal stores the marketability of their products. It is part of a process of improvement and preservation of the quality of raw cashew nuts Ivory Coast, he said.
"As leading producer of raw cashew nuts, the international competitive environment, requires the Ivory Coast to optimize its results continuously to remain a world leader, particularly in terms of the marketability of nuts marketed," said said Director General of that Council, stating that quality has a price on the international market.
Dr. Adama Coulibaly has invited the recipients to make good use of analytical equipment for radiation farming. "We hope that these tools do not sleep in your stores because they appear as the pledge of professionalism of your agricultural sector," he advised.
